When Ontario enters stage 3, we will be offering at home Babysitting courses to groups of 8 or more at the cost of $70 + tax per youth. Our Babysitting instructor has received both doses of the Covid-19 vaccine and is exciting to spend the day equipping your youths with new skills and the knowledge they need to confidently start their Babysitting business.
Join us for our Top Choice Award Winning program! This course offers basic first aid and caregiving skills for youth 11-15 years old. Participants learn how to provide care to children in a variety of age groups, and how to prevent and respond to emergencies. The course also offers youth the skills to promote themselves as babysitters to prospective families.
The course is taught by a Red Cross First Aid Instructor and runs for 7-8 hours. Students must be a minimum 11 years of age (or have completed Grade 5). Students will receive a certificate and a take-home manual.
Course Content includes how to manage difficult behaviour, strategies for different developmental stages, how to feed and dress children and babies, how to prevent unsafe situations and make safe choices, first aid skills, and the business of babysitting.
